You wouldn't believe this but we're still walking! Through windy, rainy days and days where the sun roasts you for hours. We have been walking for one month today and have officially crossed
the halfway point just outside of Sahagun. This means that we have walked over 400 km (250 miles) on our own two feet! This also means that we have just as far to go yet. We have to constantly remind ourselves, "we made it through the Pyranees mountains in a day, we can do this!"
Because we have come so far we decided to treat ourselves a bit. We're currently enjoying 4 nights in a hotel ALL TO OURSELVES in Leon! You don't realize how important privacy and quality sleep are until you don't get it for several days if not weeks. Plus this allows Gina a chance to heal her blisters.
We had been keeping up with a few people we met along the way. We met a group of four Canadian women: Deb, Jean, Shelly, and Monette, and two Aussie sisters: Jess and Amanda. We would meet up at the end of the day to have dinner and drinks together. But we couldn't keep up with their pace and had to say goodbye (for now).
Well, as the days go on, we'll get stronger and hopefully my blogging skills will improve. I know this was a short one but switching from a laptop to a phone is a challenge for blogging (and watching Game of Thrones).
Until next time buen camino!

Congratulations on completing half!!! Can’t wait to see photos from the next half.
